Hi ladies! I hope you're all having a fantastic Easter, aren't long weekends just the best? I'm not back at work until Wednesday so I still have a couple more days to chill too, yay! If you've read my previous posts, I mentioned my mum and sister were coming to visit me for the weekend and we had such a lovely time together. We went out for a meal on Saturday night so I thought I'd share what I wore. I haven't done an outfit post for ages, purely because I haven't worn any outfits worth sharing but I have missed doing them as it makes a nice change from my usual beauty rambles.

My mum, sister, boyfriend and I went into Newcastle city centre shopping at the weekend and I obviously couldn't walk past shops without buying a few things. I thought going out for a meal in the evening was the perfect excuse to snap up some new bits and pieces too. The first place we had a browse around was New Look, a shop I don't often venture in to, however, they had lots of lovely pieces and I could of gone totally wild if my bank balance was looking a bit happier. I picked up this lovely cream jumper while I was there and for only £7 its quite the steal. We then popped into Miss Selfridge where I ended up buying these light wash denim jeans. I'd been after some light denim jeans for the Spring/Summer for quite some time so these instantly jumped out at me as a 'must-buy'. They're so comfy too as the denim is soft and stretchy so I imagine I'll be getting lots of wear out of them.

After going to a few other shops where nothing tickled my fancy, we made our way to Primark. As I'm sure you're all aware by now due to the various haul posts here on my blog, I'm a huge Primark fan and the one in Newcastle is absolutely ginormous. Seriously, I lost my mum and sister a few times in there and finding our way to the nearest fitting rooms or checkout was a mission within itself. After spending what seemed to be forever in there, I walked away with some new goodies including this bright neon orange blazer. As soon as I walked into the shop, I saw it and had to have it, no questions. If this isn't the perfect piece of clothing for Spring/Summer, I don't know what is. I have a slight obsession with blazers too and I'm building quite the collection so orange is a nice new addition. Admittedly its quite a bold and daring colour but I instantly fell in love with it and I'm pretty sure it will be glued to my back for the foreseeable future.

So when we got home from our shopping spree, it was time to decide what to wear for our meal. The restaurant we were going to wasn't super fancy or anything and as we were coming straight home afterwards, I wanted to keep things casual. I decided to pop the New Look jumper and Miss Selfridge jeans together with the Primark blazer for a pop of colour. I also realised my orange shoes from New Look would match the blazer perfectly so I popped them on too.

In terms of accessories, I kept things pretty simple as I wanted the main focus of my outfit to be the blazer. However, I did pop my favourite chunky necklace from Matalan on and my beloved Michael Kors watch. I also took my brand new Zara handbag for it's first outing and I have to say, I love it. Its very much become the 'blogger bag' of late and I can 100% see why. I love that it has loads of different compartments (it even has a padded section for a laptop) and the tan colour is perfect for this time of year.

Overall I really like this outfit and think its perfect for the Spring/Summer. Although the weather here in the UK has been terrible lately, I'm still enjoying incorporating brighter clothing into my wardrobe. I love that the blazer can completely transform such a plain outfit too and I can see myself wearing it with everything for the next few months.

Are you a fan of bright blazers? What do you think of this look?

Lots of Love,
