When it comes to high street make brands, Sleek is up there as one of my favourites. Every product I’ve tried from the brand has impressed me and many of their products are comparable to high end brands such as NARS. One of the first products I tried from the brand a couple of years ago was one of their ‘pout polishes’ in a pale peach shade and I absolutely loved it. I believe I used the whole thing up and it was constantly in my handbag.

With this being said, I was chuffed to pieces when Sleek contacted me to ask if I’d like to try a couple of their products. They very kindly sent me their Face Form kit (which I’ve wanted to try ever since it was released and will be reviewing in the near future) and one of their Pout Polishes in the shade ‘Pink Cadillac’. I was over the moon with this as I’d been meaning to repurchase one of the pout polishes ever since my beloved peachy number came to an end.

Pink Cadillac is a bright fuchsia pink shade and although it looks very intense in the pot, it doesn’t transfer to the lips that way. Instead it gives the lips a lovely tint of colour and high shine gloss, almost like a mix between a lipstick and a lip gloss. It feels incredibly moisturising on the lips too thanks to ingredients such as Jojoba, Sweet Almond and Avocado oil as well as Shea butter. In my opinion it’s the perfect lip product – it provides colour without being too bold, it provides an incredible high-shine finish without being sticky and it packs a punch in terms of moisture. Its generally a great all round lip product that can be worn every day for work, paired with a smoky eye in the evenings or layered over a lipstick to create a high-shine finish. It also smells of Vanilla which is a nice little bonus.

The only downside about this product for me is the fact it comes in a pot and can be quite messy to apply. The formula is buttery soft and transfers flawlessly to the lips but that also means my fingers can be left pretty messy after using it. I’d definitely recommend having a tissue at hand when using this product or investing in a lip brush to apply it which is what I’m considering doing myself. I do love the packaging though, despite the messy application - the little pot is so cute and perfect for popping in my handbag.

Overall I absolutely love this product and would highly recommend it to anybody. They have a great range of shades available and now the cold winter weather is here, this is a great nourishing lip product to add to your collection. They only cost £4.29 too - bargain!

Have you tried the Sleek Pout Polishes? What do you think?

Lots of Love,
