My Fave Hair & Body Products 2013
Next up in my 2013 favourites series is all things hair and body care! I thought I'd pop these two categories together as there isn't a great deal from each and as there's a fair amount of skincare products I've been loving in 2013, I'm going to pop those into a seperate post. I've really enjoyed putting these posts together so far as its given me the chance to have a good delve into my beauty stash and pick out my all time favourite products - products that I've loved using and have or  would 100% repurchase. This post is going to be quite long so I won't ramble on any longer. Here's the hair and body products that took my fancy last year ...

Favourite Shampoo: Neal & Wolf Ritual Daily Cleansing Shampoo | Link
I was first introdcued to Neal & Wolf products through my monthly Love Me Beauty box when I received their Intensive Care treatment (which is also a favourite but I didn't have a bottle to photograph). I instantly fell in love with the scent of these products as they make my hair smell just like it would if I'd spent the day in a flashy salon and I find the scent really lingers on my hair too unlike other products that fade straight away. This shampoo lathers up really nicely and leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean and silky smooth after use. It contains an infusion of silk and milk proteins which work together to boost moisture and reduce flyaways and liquid shea extra helps to create a shiny finish.

Favourite Conditioner: V05 Give Me Moisture Conditioner | Link
As I mentioned in my recent Boots beauty haul which you can read here, V05 Give Me Moisture is one of the only conditioners that can actually tame my tangled hair. As soon as my hair gets wet in the shower, it becomes a ball of tangles. I have no idea why as my hair is pretty healthy but I'm guessing its something to do with having bleach in my hair and the fact its long and quite thick? Who knows, but this conditioner is a life-saver as it completely smooths my hair out and makes getting a brush through it after my shower ten times easier. I also love that you can buy this in huge bottles like the one pictured as I go through conditioner like its going out of fashion! I'd definitely recommend this product if you're after a purse friendly conditioner that will de-tangle, soften and add shine.

Favourite Hair Oil: Moroccan Oil | Link
As if I couldn't include Moroccan Oil in this post - its one of my all time favourite products and definitely my favourite hair product. If you have dry, frizzy or colour treated hair, this stuff is a life saver. Its totally transformed my dry bleached hair which never grew passed my shoulders into long, healthy and shiny locks. It really is a game changer when it comes to hair and I'm smitten with it. It is a fairly pricey product but because I only need one pump each time I wash my hair (around 3 times a week), its still going strong after 12 months as I got this as a Christmas present in 2012! If you haven't tried this product yet, you must. Its worth every penny in my eyes and if you like your hair products to smell yummy too - this one is a winner in the scent stakes!

Favourite Leave-in Spray: Schwarzkopf BC Fibre Force Spray Conditioner | Link
I was lucky enough to be invited to a Schwarzkopf hair event in the Summer at a local hair salon as they were promoting their new 'Fibre Force' hair range, a range of hair care that's designed to restore hair to its natural glory, before the use of things like colour and heat appliances. This is how Schwarzkopf sum up the science behind this range of products - "Micronized Hair-Identical Keratins penetrate deeply into the hair architecture to re-cement specifically the Cell-Membrane-Complex, the intercellular bonding cement responsible for strong and resilient hair fibre." Basically, this stuff helps to strengthen and re-build damaged hair which is exactly what my hair needs after years of using bleach and heat appliances. The spray conditioner is definitely my favourite product from the range as it can be spritzed onto wet or dry hair at any time of the time to give it a boost of moisture. I've nearly used up my whole bottle of this which is a first for me when it comes to hair products but I find myself spraying this at every chance I get due to the incredible salon scent and extra boost of moisture it gives my hair.

Favourite Hair Mask: Schwarzkopf BC Fibre Force Treatment | Link
Another product I was really impressed with from the fibre force hair range is their treatment which is essentially a leave-in conditioner applied after your standard shampoo and condition. This is designed to really penetrate the hair with the same keratin formula found in the spray conditioner, only this time more intense. I find this treatment leaves my hair exceptionally soft after use and full of body and life. Its a great one to slick on when my hair is feeling dry and over-styled as it brings it right back to life again!

Favourite Styling Product: Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray | Link
I'm not one for using a lot of styling products on my hair as I believe they can cause it to go dry or the colour to fade faster. The most I use on my hair when it comes to styling is a spritz of hairspray here and there or a touch of dry shampoo if I'm having a lazy day. However, one product that I used constantly in 2013, particuarly in Summer, is the John Frieda sea salt spray. This stuff is seriously amazing for creating natural beach waves and in the Summer its a total life saver. I tend to prefer the natural hair look in Summer and when I'm on holiday as I hate using heated appliances when its already scorching hot. That's when I turn to this trusty sea salt spray. A few spritzes on the mid-lengths to ends and my frizzy and limp hair is transformed into volumous and natural waves. I love it and am excited to use it again this Summer - roll on the warm weather!

Favourite Body Wash: Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash | Link
Ah Sugar Crush, the best scent ever from Soap & Glory. If you like citrus scents, you must give this body wash a try. I never get bored of it, I could quite happily sniff it all day and its a great one to use in the morning as the citrus scent really wakes me up and leaves me feeling energised. I also love the formula - its very creamy, lathers well and leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft.

Favourite Body Scrub: Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub | Link
Yep, another fave from the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush range - I'm just a little bit in love this scent. This body scrub is the first product I ever tried from Soap & Glory and its safe to say, I haven't looked back. The scent is even more citrusy and sugary than the body wash which I love and the exfoliator itself is really thick and grainy. Its really effective and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth after use. I always like to use this if I'm applying fake tan as it preps the skin nicely to ensure my tan applies evenly and streak free.

Favourite Moisturiser: Vaseline 'Aloe Fresh' Spray & Go Body Moisturiser | Link
When it comes to moisturising my body, I'll admitt it, I'm a lazy mare! I don't have the time to slather a thick body butter on and wait around for it to sink in so this handy little 'Spray & Go' moisturiser from Vaseline is perfect as it takes a matter of minutes to moisturise my whole body and it doesn't leave behind any sticky residue either. As soon as I've sprayed this onto my skin, it sinks in straight away and I'm good to go as the name would suggest.

Favourite Bath Oil: Aromatherapy Associates 'Morning Revive' Oil | Link
If you love a soak in the bath like I do, this bath oil from Aromatherapy Associates is absolutely dreamy. Just add a couple of drops of this to the bath water and your bathroom will be transformed into a spa like setting with beautiful aromas filling the air. it will also leave your skin feeling wonderfully nourished and silky. Pure bliss!

Favourite Deodrant: Garnier Ultra Dry | Link
You're probably thinking 'deodrant, in your favourites, really?'. I know, I know - its a boring product but its also an essential and this is definitely the best deodrant I've ever used. I can't get enough of the stuff. I first used this product in 2012 when I was over in Australia and I believe I may have also included this in my 2013 favourites - that's what a lasting impression this has had on me. Not only does this stuff smell utterly incredible but the way its dispensed from the can is just brilliant - instead of saturating me with product like some spray deodrants can, this one dispenses a fine mist and leaves no horrible white marks behind. It also does exactly what it says on the tin and keeps my under arm area 'Ulta Dry' and fresh. A must-have product, especially in the sweaty Summer months.

Favourite Tanning Product: Cocoa Brown Tan | Link
I've been meaning to review this tan on my blog for such a long time now but have never got round to doing it as I want to get some before and after photos to accompany the post before I publish it. However, until my full review, I'll say one thing - this tan is absolutely amazing! Firstly, its a mousse which is my favourite formula and it has no horrible biscuit smell. Secondly, the colour is really natural (olive toned) and thirdly, it only takes one hour to develop so its really idea to use when I've fogot to tan and need some colour fast. I won't say much more but keep your eyes peeled for a full review coming soon!

Favourite Hand Product: Soap & Glory Hand Food | Link
2013 was the year that I developed a love for hand cream and it all began with this pink tube of marshmallowy goodness from Soap & Glory. Can you tell that I like S&G products yet? There's not a great deal to say about this other than I love the name 'Hand Food', its in a pink tube, it smells like sweeties, sinks in well and keeps my hands nicely hydrated. Its a life saver throughout winter to prevent dry cracked hands and I rarely leave the house without it. I think that sums it up really!
