Hi Ladies. I hope you all had an amazing weekend; I had quite an eventful one to say the least. It was my cousin/best friends engagement party on Saturday and its safe to say my friends and I had one too many Jager bombs. I’m not usually one for getting super drunk but the shots went straight to my head and I was left with two cut knees (yes, I fell over) and a very sore head. Its safe to say I spent all day yesterday feeling sorry for myself, aren’t hangovers the worse? Let this be a warning ladies, don’t drink Jager bombs, they are lethal! Anyway, aside from the silly drunkenness I had a fabulous weekend and it was lovely to catch up my family and best friends.
I want to show you the outfit I wore on the night as I’m quite impressed with it considering the whole thing (minus shoes and jewellery) was from Primark and cost a grand total of £20.00 – bargain! I went for a browse round Primark after pay day (standard!) and spotted this lovely dress from their ‘Limited Edition’ range. To be honest, I wasn’t aware Primark had Limited Edition clothing but I expected it to be slightly pricier than pieces from the standard range. However, much to my surprise, the dress only cost £10.00 which is a total bargain and I have to say, I love it. I wasn’t intending on wearing it to the engagement party but when I tried it on, I knew I’d be ditching the dress I had planned to wear for this one. The shape is very flattering, I love the spring shades of green and yellow and the yellow zip on the front is a nice touch too. I decided to get it in a size 10 which fits me perfectly on my bottom half but was slightly loose around my waist so I popped on a plain tan belt (also from Primark) to synch my waist in and I think it brought the brown tones in the dress out nicely.

I also bought this lovely blazer whilst at Primark as I love the neutral taupe shade and think it will go with absolutely anything. I was expecting it to cost me £19.00 like the other blazers I own from Primark but when I got to the till it had been reduced to £10.00 - bargain take two! I decided to pop this over the dress and I think it gave a floaty and girly dress a slightly more sophisticated and classy finish. I then popped on my sky high Kurt Geiger shoes and some chunky rings I recently bought from New Look for some added glam. I also used my Primark studded clutch bag which I bought a while ago for around £4.00.
Overall I really loved wearing this outfit and I can see both the dress and blazer being some of my Spring/Summer wardrobe staples. I'm already picturing wearing the dress with a pair of strappy sandals and big sunglasses come the Summer. However, as its April and still freezing, I can't see that happening any time soon - silly UK weather!
P.S - Sorry for the appalling quality of these photos but I totally forgot to take outfit photos before the party so my Mum, Nanna and I had to resort to a photo shoot in the toilets using my Iphone. Dedicated blogger right there haha!
What do you think of this outfit? Are you a fan of Primark clothing?
